Should Working Moms Be Blamed?

Traveling down memory lane,
Deep into the heart of history
Of a giant nation in the west.
Flipping through tons of records
To feed on any that flags out.

One of such is the
Worst economic condition
Ever experienced, in the giant nation in question.
Depression took turn from Recession
Many lost their jobs, their cars
And some had to deal with home foreclosures.

Of all the gist of the time,
The part that rang a bell
Was how home makers
Who were meant to focus
On reproduction and proper children up bringing
Had to start hustling for jobs
Their husbands to support.
With all their hearts,
They combined home making and Career
And it greatly contributed to the economic restoration.

Having seen this economic resuscitation,
The authority of the said nation
Expected home makers to return
To home making, and leave the work force to men, their spouses
But at that time, it was too late.
Women had already made their way
Deep into the heart of the labor market
And had turned their backs on
What was solely expected of them.
Hence, the question
What will happen to reproduction, proper child upbringing, and home making?
"The home" will be at stake
Uttered some men.

Now, those concerns seem to have become a reality.
Today's modern women are made to chose:
Home and career, which one should come first?
School dropout is now on the increase,
Young stars now give in to drugs and addiction
 Rather than education
And I hear someone blame it on working moms
How justifiable is this accusation?

Victim Of Circumstance

The cruelty of man

And the wickedness of his heart,

 Is publicly displayed

 When a bundle of joy

 Happily received by many

And adored by adorable mums

 Now becomes an unwanted guest

 Flushed via a pipe

 As though it were liquid.

A new born, sent to the world on assignment,

 A specific mission to fulfill.

A potential doctor or lawyer, and tomorrow's leader.

Perhaps, this child is a destined researcher

Who would one day discover and design powerful drugs

That will completely cure cancer, Hiv Aids

And other killer diseases, Who knows?

Let’s face it!

Every single child aborted or abandoned,

Is a potential savor of the world

Either sent on a journey of no return

Or left to waste away.

Thus, the slimmer the chances of ever saving the world.

Tornado Rips Again.

My heart bleeds
For the horrible rip off
Caused by the massive twister  in Oklahoma.
But tears fail to comprehend the gravity of the situation.

Imagine stepping out of the house,
On a supposed normal day
Parents , children and others
about their daily routine, they went
Without any clue about the day’s secret.

Then, in the middle of the day,
Struck the tragedy
About   sixteen  to forty minutes  after the storm watch alert
Which was barely enough  to stay clear of the storm’s pathway.
It was the worst tornado ever.
Very furious and determined
to demolish obstructing buildings on its way.

Shredded homes, all over the area
And  the floor, decorated with rubbles
Like it is in a junk yard.
A whole neighborhood  wiped out of sight
With no clear home identification.
Cars swept off their feet

And blown away
At least about twenty four adult and nine kids
Said their final prayers
On that unfortunate day.
May their souls rest in peace.

This story however,  is incomplete
Without singing the praise
Of the ER doctor who saw to the safety of the affected hospital’s patients
Shielding their heads with mattresses.
The hospital which could combine such a ghastly incident
With the thought of a woman walking into labor at the same time.
Heroic teachers, who practically shielded kids
With their bodies
Putting their own lives on the line.
Their  act of heroism will never be forgotten.

Many hearts and properties
Have been ripped off
By this cunning and fierce tornado
That failed to prepare the hearts of men
About its intension to graze the land of Oklahoma.
Now, many people/families
Would have to pick up their pieces
And start all over again.

The cold hard truth

From the alter to the inner chamber, goes a bride
In the company of her groom
Their love to consummate.

On a well padded mattress,
Neatly dressed in white
Solely for the newlywed
All with a clear purpose.

Guest seated in the patio
Eating and drinking
To kill some time
Hoping to feed their curiosity
On the chastity of the bride

Low and behold
They were swept off their feet
At the sight of the bloody stained white cloth
Held out by the groom.

They applauded and screamed
Took turns to embrace the bride
Showering her with gifts in cash
For a chastity well kept
Even at the age of thirty.

Fifteen years after the wedding,
The groom still brags about it
"I can beat my chest for my wife,
she would never cheat on me" he often says.
Can your spouse say that about you?

Chew on these words.
Civilization and modernization
Have closed in on the world
Twisted peoples perspectives
And stolen their once dear moral values
Reducing serious issues like premarital
And extramarital sex to nothing.
Perhaps things have become upside down.

The truth about chastity is hanging
Lies are now having fun parties
And weird ideas are flooding the earth.
Truth be told, it is best to remain pure
Before and after marriage.

Can we ever thank them enough?

Your mother, my mother, our mothers

Can we ever appreciate them enough?

At no cost, they shower their love.

In sickness and in health,

Through the most challenging and tough moments,

An inseparable companion they remain.

Always on their feet as a reliable support system.

With words of comfort and wisdom

Streaming out of their mouths

Whether dead or alive,

Those words will always remain an ornament

Constantly adorning our necks

As we swim around the world.

How can we save humanity?

Boston  bomb blast,
West Texas fertilizer plant explosion,
Mothers day New Orleans shoot out,
And now, this horrible Ef4, sixteen tornado strike in north Texas,
All man-made plus natural disaster.
The injured are made to suffer pain
And innocent souls  are sent on a permanent exile
In their grave, to live  forever, in silence.

Two months earlier,
On this same planet we dwelt
Together as able bodied.
For daily bread, they toiled day and night
oblivious of the unknown.
Today, on the other side, they abide forever.

What can we do to put a stop
To this necessary end caused by evil men
Who sucks a fellow’s blood
And inflict unnecessary pain on the innocent?
How  can we put an end to these disastrous storms
That graze human land
Acting in arrogance as a mighty
That cannot be subdued
How can we save humanity?
How can we save humanity?
